Sober Up

This is a snack which I think you should only eat when you have a hangover.  It will help to soak up the alcohol but it has a strong kick from the mustard and chilli so it will snap you out of whatever daze you are in.  Me, personally I have never been drunk but I was told that my recipe definitely helped a girl feel less drunk.  Every little helps.  Cheese on Bread! 1 snack, many purposes.

This recipe was adapted from Silvana Franco’s The Really Useful Ultimate Student Cookbook (Murdoch Books, 2007).

Cheese Puffs

Ingredients:

2 slices of hard dough bread, 1 egg (beaten), 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp chilli flakes, 20g grated cheese, a handful of cherry tomatoes, fresh coriander.

Method:

1. Grill one side of the bread.
2. In a small bowl mix the egg, mustard, chilli and cheese.
3. When lightly browned turn over and top with the cheese mixture.
4. Half the tomatoes and place on top of the bread.
5. Grill until the cheese has melted.
6. Serve and sprinkle coriander over the top.
