Chicken Wings

I watched this hilarious documentary about a London chicken fast food place.  A character in the programme was certain that chicken only tasted good deep fried.  What a fool! I beg to differ.  I made chicken wings which were delicious and much nicer than the fast food chicken of which the origin cannot be located.  Chicken on the bone is a blessing so treat it with respect.

This was adapted from Silvana Franco’s The Really Useful Ultimate Student Cookbook (Murdoch Books, 2007).



1 small onion (finely chopped), 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped), 1 tbsp honey, 2 tbsps oil, 3 tbsps tomato ketchup, 2 tsps hot pepper sauce, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 10 chicken wings.


1. Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees C.
2. Marinate the wings in all of the ingredients in a oven proof dish.
3. Bake for 1 hour.
