Staying awake at work

It is difficult to stay awake when the pages you are reading seem to be never-ending.  I made a snack which is great for when you are working and helps to keep your brain alert.  It may not have high amounts of sugar, but it sure does taste great and keeps you going until the glorious the last hour of work.  This was my first attempt at making houmous.  I have always wanted to make it.  I love dipping carrots into it.

This recipe was adapted from Asda Magazine (February, 2013).

Peanut Huomous


1 garlic clove (chopped), 250g canned chickpeas (drained), 2 tbsps lemon juice, 2 tbsps peanut butter, 1 tbsp olive oil.


 Blend all of the ingredients together in a small bowl.

Saffy’s Easy Dipping Ideas:

1. Raw Carrots
2. Raw red, yellow and orange pepper slices.
3. Sliced Cucumber.
4. Warm Pitta Bread.
5. Prawn Crackers
