Buttery Syrupy Goodness

I wanted to make a lovely treat for my partner and I thought making buttery syrupy good filling flapjacks would be the perfect treat as the clocks go back and the days get shorter.  I really enjoyed licking my fingers when making this.  The flapjacks are soooo yummy I don’t know who wouldn’t smile after eating these.  My kitchen smelt like heaven too.  oooooooo Saffy’s baking sellable goods now!!!! :D!

This recipe was adapted from Lorraine Pascale’s ‘Baking Made Easy’ (London: Harper Collins Publishers, 2011).

2. Melt the butter in a pan over a low heat.
3. Add the sugar and golden syrup.

5. Put the porridge, ginger, nutmeg and lemon in a mixing bowl.
6. Pour over melted butter, sugar and syrup.
7. Pack the mixture into the tin.
